Seeking Executive Board Members for 2021-2022 School Year
Would you like to have input into how STABC funds are raised and allocated? An approval vote for team grant proposals? Then come join STABC Executive Board! As several of our board members have terms ending this year, we are seeking new Executive Board members for 2021-2022 school year to be installed at our General Meeting on May 2. We meet every 1st Tuesday during the school year for General Meetings and every 3rd Tuesday year round for Executive Board meetings. In the 2019-2020 school year, STABC raised $26,457 via concessions, merchandise sales, and our Crab Feed! We awarded $2,200 in scholarships, $11,170 in team grants, and $13,968 directly to teams that participated in the Crab Feed event.
STABC is a non-profit organization (NPO # 77-0382552) that provides avenues for the athletic teams of Santa Teresa High School to raise the much needed funds to bridge the gap between what the district contributes and what it actually takes to run these programs.
STABC relies on parent and student volunteers to staff the events that generate funds for our athletes. Sign up for a shift at one of our events to earn points for your team to receive grant money. We have opportunities throughout the year for all interests!
Grants and Scholarships
Santa Teresa Athletic Booster Club grants support individual teams and general athletics at Santa Teresa. Safe equipment, safe facilities and gear are just some of the items that STABC grants fund. STABC proudly sponsors Athletic Awards and the blocks/ pins for letterman jackets. We also offer modest scholarships to our Senior Scholar nominees and winners.
Concessions and Merchandise
All proceeds from the Snack Shack/Concessions Booth and Merchandise Pop-Up go into our general fund. Visit us for tasty snacks and all your ST branded gear to help raise funds for grants and scholarships.
Annual Crab Feed
Each year, our annual crab feed and raffle/auction raises thousands of dollars for teams and for the STABC general fund. Year after year, the community comes together to enjoy great food and great friends for a great cause.
For 2021, we are taking a break from our annual crab feed and auction online due to COVID. Stay tuned for post-pandemic plans for future events!
